Veteran’s Affairs – Lest We Forget TV Commercial

“Your piece on war is brilliant and serves to touch many emotions and historical details without a single word and with an exquisite soundtrack… perhaps that is the way to experience the legacy of bad dreams, hurt souls and broken emotions that have made so many men and women mute to their experience. I have seen the piece in many places now and it has truly touched me in its gentleness, caring, respect and hope.”

Erica Claus, Senior Policy Advisor ADM Arts and Heritage, Canadian Heritage

Tomorrow Starts Today – Naming and Branding

“The concept of the presentation was devised by Toronto cultural advertising guru Scott Thornley, who got an emergency call 11 days earlier from the Heritage Ministry. It was Thornley who came up with the slogan Tomorrow Starts Today (with the first 10 letters in white and then “arts today” in red). It was Thornley who came up with the young performers as a way of emphasizing the educational forward-looking point of the whole exercise.”

Martin Knelman, Toronto Star
